Aircraft Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window

A plane carrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official statement which stated that all passengers were secure.

"The jet landed in accordance with established safety measures and all passengers, including Pete Hegseth, is secure," an official representative said in a public statement.

The secretary was coming back from a short visit to Brussels at the time.

This occurrence is not the first occasion that a American defense plane carrying a top government figure has experienced technical problems.

In a previous incident this year, a American military jet transporting the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was compelled to head back to the US capital after encountering a technical issue.
