Barça to Host Historic Fixture at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in the Spanish league 30 months following their departure so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans can be present based on approved permits. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced finished work included a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.

Stadium Testing

Barça organized an open training session on the home pitch earlier this month. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from Uefa to host the next European match facing Eintracht on 9 December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
