'Enduring a Horrific Ordeal': Loved Ones of Unaccounted For Young People Await Information After Ski Resort Inferno
The families of young people missing after a tragic blaze at a venue in a Swiss winter destination are enduring an excruciating period of uncertainty for answers and requesting any details about their family members via social media.
The fire engulfed the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of New Year's Day. Confirmed footage depict the roof structure being engulfed in flames as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.
Officials have indicated that it could take considerable time to identify the fatalities of the fire, which claimed the lives of four dozen individuals and hurt another over a hundred. A spokesperson noted on the latest update that the majority of the injured have been identified, with work ongoing to name the other six.
In the meantime, loved ones have been posting on the internet to plead for any news about their missing relatives who were at the bar that fateful night.
Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For
The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are not yet determined, according to an heartfelt request from his mother.

The Italian Golf Federation has said that he is dead, without mentioning the tragedy, honoring a "young athlete who represented passion and true sportsmanship."
His parent, told media that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around the new year. An official spokesperson has indicated that a formal confirmation of his death is awaited.
Other Cases
Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is also unaccounted for. His mother said that he had been on holiday but had gone out with friends and found himself at the bar.
"A close friend told me they fled after the fire erupted and that he had his phone with him, but then at a specific moment he couldn't see him anymore," she said, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.
One of his teachers said, "I've always been struck by his kindness and positive demeanor, combined with great maturity. He would frequently ask if get me a coffee."
Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Greek and Swiss citizenship but lives full-time in Switzerland, was also at the bar on New Year's Eve, according to sources.
Her brother has shared an appeal on social media, saying the family has had "no updates" regarding the teenager or the three friends she was with, who are also unaccounted for.
Officials from her country of origin say they are closely watching the case.
