Devoted supporters of the actress are calling for that a man who leaped a barricade and seized the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A viral clip shows the Australian man bypassing media personnel and lunging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a event pathway surrounded by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being arrested", though official papers showed that he was scheduled to appear on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a performance. His Instagram feed features clips of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney performance in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last December.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," commented an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Grande's Safety

Numerous followers accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the end of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented another response on Instagram.

Some supporters also criticised security officers at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while others requested online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande seemed shocked when she was approached by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Hundreds of supporters had gathered in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore mall, including several who had queued for as long as eight hours before it began.

The motion picture, to be launched on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-part adaptation of the popular theatrical production Wicked, which focuses on the surprising friendship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and earned ten Academy Award nods, securing several for best costume and artistic direction.
