Locating a Venezuela-linked Tanker Reportedly Pursued by American Maritime Authorities

Our team is verifying video footage and photographs posted earlier today that depict the scene of a reported vehicle-borne explosive blast that authorities in Russia state killed a senior military officer in Moscow.
Russian authorities confirmed that Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov was in the car that exploded and that he succumbed of his injuries. A probe is under way.
The initial step to verify the location from which the images originated was based on posts indicating the explosion happened on Yasenevaya Ulitsa in the southern part of the Russian capital.
Our analysis employed panoramic mapping services on Google Maps and the Russian search engine Yandex Maps to corroborate the distinctive yellow colour of a adjacent residential complex seen in the video.
Locating additional structures, streetlights and the street layout confirmed where the footage were taken.
Additionally, we verified that the video clips were new and that the images had not been digital alteration.
