The one-time girl group artist Jesy Nelson declares she has "never felt prouder" about her body after the birth of her twin daughters.

The singer introduced double blessings her little girls Ocean Jade and Story Monroe in May with her partner Zion Foster, whom she became engaged to last month.

The singer revealed in an Instagram post that being a parent helped her understand how remarkable her physical form actually is.

Accompanying photos showing her wearing underwear cradling her babies, she stated: "Thirty-three long years of extreme diets, all those years of putting myself down wanting a tighter abdomen, wanting my waist somewhat trimmer and nearly proceeding with cosmetic surgery, to presently finding myself being photographed."

She continued: "I can honestly say my pride has never been greater about my physique and everything it has endured! Indeed my chest sits differently and my abdomen has expanded and squishier - it doesn't look how it used to, but my god it formed the greatest blessing I have ever received."

"If there's anything I've learned during my pregnancy while expecting, it's that I hope to prevent my daughters experiencing what I experienced concerning my appearance for so many years."

"So to all the future mummies or the parents that have just given birth, should you be having difficulty with your present mindset in yourself or are maybe even feeling the pressure to rapidly return simply pause briefly to reflect on your accomplishment! Show more compassion toward yourself and recall you are REMARKABLE!!!"

Medical Challenges

At thirty-four years old, welcomed her twins prematurely during week thirty-one, after disclosing she encountered unique medical issues during the pregnancy.

During March, she announced she experienced a successful procedure to stop medical issues related to the twin transfusion condition.

The condition occurs due to abnormal connecting blood vessels in the placental tissue resulting in disproportionate blood distribution between the babies, called the donor, to the other twin, leaving one baby with more blood than the other.

Soon following the operation in March, she expressed: "The TTTS has resolved, the procedure worked, which is just absolutely incredible. We feel extremely fortunate to access exceptional medical professionals."

Furthermore she disclosed her babies had shared placenta status, signifying they share a shared placenta but have their individual protective sacs.

Career Background

Nelson left the girl group in December 2020, stating she needed to preserve her mental health.

She later explained that online abuse - an issue she explored in a documentary from 2019 - had pushed her at "breaking point".

Since leaving the musical ensemble, she has published solo musical work, comprising her track Boyz, with Nicki Minaj, in 2021.

Little Mix, including Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall, originated from the X Factor twelve years past.

The ensemble proceeded to create multiple UK top 10 albums and five number one singles, with hits such as Wings, Black Magic and Shout Out to My Ex.

In 2021, they announced they planned to take a pause post-tour but insisted they were not splitting up forever.
