The former president's Family Member Seeks Professional Advice from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA Debut

Emerging athlete getting ready for major competition

The rising star has impressive online presence

The young golfer will have plenty of high-profile cheerleaders when she starts her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, was granted a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika competition in Florida.

Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, operates multiple golf courses and often plays against Kai.

"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she mentioned.

The golfer shared that her grandfather, who cannot attend, told her: "Just stay calm."

"He essentially advised me to compete and enjoy myself," she continued.

"From my perspective, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's busy with running the country, making him rather occupied."

While still amateur, Kai has competed in just three tournaments in 2024 and holds the 461st position in AJGA standings.

But she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Kai's mother.

"He is the best player in the world," the young golfer said.

"And he's a superior human being. He suggested me to compete, enjoy myself, adapting to whatever happens."

Kai will face some of most prominent players in the sport at this tournament, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Officials mentioned that her participation brings the sport to wider groups, particularly among younger fans.

The young star maintains a massive following and recently launched an exclusive apparel and wellness brand.

She begins at late afternoon GMT.
