From the gradual unveiling of fresh additions ahead of the title's release, to trainers developing firm opinions on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.

With many of the Super Forms boasting unique designs that emphasize their traits, one thought naturally: How can connect this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

The Ram – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost chosen for Aries, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the greatest apprehension. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. That's why Aries far more similar to Mega Camerupt, which only erupts when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of both and enjoy a strong partner; if you cross them, be ready to face the consequences.

Similar to a loyal Taurus, the reliable Heracross species, both in its standard and Mega form, has assisted numerous players in Legends: Z-A. The thing about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unabashed love of treats. Several previous Pokédex entries note their craving for sweet tree sap and how it employs its horn to hoard it all, which is true Bull-sign vibe.

The Twins – Super Medicham

Look at this total queen. It's impossible to tell me this creature is not the soul of every party, offering an constant fountain of chatter to anyone who wants to hear. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's incredibly easy to envision Mega Medicham captivating an entire open area with their stories. Medicham’s official description also mentions its capacity to foresee an enemy’s future actions, which seems quite like a socially-savvy Gemini.

The Crab – Super Manectric

The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly critical is clearly reflected throughout this creature's whole lineage, from a perpetually shocked face like a Maiden when you tell them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down face that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden posts to the group chat when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a plan.

Libra – Mega Audino

Observe this gentle, sensitive being, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to detect how others are emotionally by their pulse. Consistently compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to maintain the peace, there are many Libras who would likely benefit from Super Audino's skills. Though, to be frank, it would likely just make them stress more about everyone else.

The Scorpion – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly tragic origin: Discarded as a toy, it gained consciousness through sheer resentment and vowed revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That seems precisely like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Mega Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always putting on a performance. Being a Archer myself, the amount of occasions I’ve called myself some version of a “playful little jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its description even mentions how it “poses to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can think of.

The Goat – Super Absol

Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to predict disasters in advance? That exudes the identical energy as a Goat, who tends to consistently think they’re right.
